Sevanam Australia Celebrates Onam 2022 and Chathayadinam with Grandeur

Sevanam Australia successfully hosted a grand Onam 2022 and Chathayadinam celebration on September 10, 2022, at Parkerville Hall, bringing together community members for a vibrant day filled with cultural festivities, traditional performances, and heartfelt recognitions.
A Celebration of Culture and Tradition
The day commenced with the traditional Athapookkalam (flower carpet), beautifully arranged by members of Sevanam Australia, followed by the flag hoisting ceremony conducted by Sri Jayakumar, President of Sevanam Australia. The event then moved into a spiritual atmosphere with Gurupooja and the lighting of Nilavilakku, paying homage to the teachings of Sree Narayana Guru.
The festivities continued with Keerthanam by Master Devadath Peeyush and an Onam song performance by Sri Sunil John, setting the mood for the grand celebration. Ganamela (music concert) featuring Sri Sunil John, Indu Sumod, and Sevanam Vanithavedhi captivated the audience, followed by a mesmerizing Daivadashakam dance by Anjali Rajeev & Angela Rajeev.
