Who We Are
Sevanam Australia is a non-profit organisation dedicated to fostering community service, cultural heritage, education, and social welfare in Australia. Rooted in the teachings of Sree Narayana Guru, our mission is to promote unity, self-improvement, and service through various charitable, spiritual, and cultural initiatives.
Sevanam Australia is registered under Guru Dharma Pracharana Sabha (GDPS) Sivagiri Mutt under Registration Number 2134. We are also a member of the Hindu Council of Australia and Sivagiri Mutt, strengthening our commitment to spiritual and social service.
Our Vision
Sevanam Australia envisions a society where spiritual wisdom, cultural heritage, and humanitarian service come together to build a harmonious and compassionate community. Inspired by Guru Dharma, we aim to create meaningful opportunities for learning, service, and celebration that strengthen bonds within the community.
What We Do
We actively engage in various initiatives, including:
- Community Support & Charity: Organizing social service programs, food drives, and support for underprivileged individuals.
- Cultural Events: Hosting festivals such as Onam, Chathayadinam, Payasam Fest, Cake Fest, and other celebrations that preserve and promote cultural traditions.
- Educational Programs: Conducting GATE, PEAC, and NAPLAN preparatory classes for students and providing career guidance, job assistance, and mentoring through our International Student Support Cell.
- Spiritual Gatherings: Monthly prayer meetings, Guru Pooja, and discussions based on Sree Narayana Guru’s teachings to inspire spiritual growth and moral values.
- Community Engagement: Bringing together individuals through picnics, sightseeing events, and recreational activities that foster unity and well-being.
